Shipping

We process and ship out 95%+ of our shipments next business day from our warehouse in Lexington, KY.

Live plants will ship using an appropriate service and typically arrive in 2 to 5 business days. Transit times do not include weekends, holidays, or weather delays. To avoid delays in the shipping network we recommend ordering live plants on Saturdays and Sundays for a Monday ship out.

Dry goods such as fish food, medication, filtration products, etc. can be ordered any day and will ship the next business day with an appropriate service. Typical shipping times are 1 to 7 business day transit time, depending on delivery location.

We do not ship to Puerto Rico, or internationally. Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii will have live rate pricing, or may have a surcharge (disclosed at checkout). Please note that we no longer are able to ship live plants to Alaska or Hawaii.

We guarantee our live products will arrive alive. We ask that you do your part and minimize the amount of time our packages sit out in the elements. It can also be a good idea to avoid ordering live items during extreme temperatures. This would be when night time temperatures are below 35°F and over 90°F during the day. Temperatures above this only makes it harder, not impossible. Most plants can tolerate warmer temps, but some are more sensitive. We ask that if possible, please wait for a break in the weather to order to improve the condition that plants arrive in. We use heat-reflecting pouches when extreme temperatures are reported back from our shipping algorithm.

When temperatures are cold, we will use heat packs and liners. Shipping live goods is difficult as our warehouse could be 70°F and your home could be snowing, with different temperatures at all the stops in between. We use an advanced algorithm we developed to check temperatures between us and our destinations. We have thresholds to include heat packs and liners when needed. We do our best and will make it right for you, but we may request to try again at a later date when weather patterns change if the first shipment isn't successful.

Unfortunately, our system isn't set up to take special delivery instructions, such as "hold for pick up," "leave at back door," and so forth. We also can't "hold shipping until X day." We have many people working in the chain to pack your orders and get them out to you as fast as possible, and the special instructions don't carry down the line, which can lead to delays and missed custom steps. To solve this, we have things streamlined to make sure we deliver on our fast shipping promise.

Our goal is to provide a fair way to satisfy our customers and not lose money while doing it. We make every effort to fully disclose how our products work and what is to be expected. A damaged product during shipping is an automatic replacement from us. We don't provide refunds when it comes to a difference of opinion, such as "My fish doesn’t like this food." However, if you decide the light you bought is a bit too green for your liking, we will refund it at your cost of shipping, provided that it is in the original box and purchased within 90 days from us.

If you would like to return a product, start the process by emailing us at shipping@aquariumcoop.mom This allows us to see if there is something we can do before returning the product, such as troubleshooting or educating you on a feature you didn’t know about. We don’t require an RMA number, but we do ask you to contact us to initiate the return. Please do not call the retail store as they operate separately from the warehouse and will not be able to issue you a return label.

Products bought from http://www.aquariumcoop.mom can be returned within 90 days of original purchase date, provided they are unused, undamaged, and in the original product packaging. If a product does not meet these requirements, we reserve the right to deny the return if we feel that it is warranted.

Who pays for shipping? In the event an item is damaged during transit, Aquarium Co-Op will provide you a shipping label. If you are returning an item for another reason, it is your responsibility to get the item back to us safely. If it is a high-priced item, we recommend getting a tracking number.

Currently, we do not ship to other countries outside of the United States. We want to improve the international shipping experience to meet our high service standards, so we are taking a step back to evaluate different methods of expediting delivery to other countries.

I love how you offer so many wonderful products and at a reasonable price. Everything I ordered is as expected. Except one thing, I did get snails on a plant. I ordered three different Anubias plants and at least one had snail eggs becuase now every few days I am pulling a snail or two out of my community 30 gallon tank lol! Not the best thing but oh well. Other than that I am very happy. I already have PLENTY of snails though becuase of my pond having loads of Ramshorn snails. We aquired those from plants at Poor Boys. Now we have so many but it's not a bad thing they keep the walls and things cleaner. As long as we keep the population from getting out of control. I do not want them in my tank though and have to pull them out when I find them so they don't mate in there and lay eggs which they can do at a surprisingly young age!

My air pump from here is wonderfull! It's the dual outlet battery backup version which is amazing. Great air flow and adjustable, it's nice.

The plants seem healthy and are doing great! I wish you sold more heaters and Inkbird thermometer shut offs. A must have if you use a heater, to be on the safe side and not sorry.

I would recommend Aquarium Co-Op to averyone!

Thank you!

I really like Aquarium co-op generally, but will not be buying plants from them anymore. I purchased a batch of 9 plants including this Lindernia Rotundifolia 'Watermelon' plant that was advertised.

Ordered over the weekend, shipped the Monday and did not arrive until the next Monday. To be fair to Aquarium Co-op, the plants were packed very well, but almost all the plants were melted. Only the java ferns were alright.

I sent pictures and was told that the rest of the plants would be alright and to put the bulb in the tank. I didn't buy a bald bulb. I was issued a partial refund. about half.

Now a week later, all the watermelon plants are all melted and dead in my tanks, the Red Dwarf Aquarium Lily Bulb is still dead/bald. Only 3 plants of the 9 I ordered are alive. All 5 of the Lindernia Rotundifolia 'Watermelon' are dead.

Aqaurium Co-op needs to rethink shipping with Amazon. It doesn't take Amazon 1 week to deliver any of their items.

This is my go to place for aquarium shopping. I only go to other stores for supplies they don't sell. I know from watching all the videos and live streams how much research and care goes into their products. A true rarity in this day and age.
And if there is an issue, their customer service is top notch. They will take care of you.

After placing a decent number of orders and following the youtube channel, i can tell that all of the products are genuine and they truly care about the products they sell and the customers that they sell to. They take feedback seriously and have great customer service.

I have ordered from the COOP multiple times in the past when the warehouse was back in the northwest. Since moving warehouse shipping seems quite a bit slower taking normally 1 week+. I have ordered plants from them and they didn't arrive in a good shape. There was no insulation when the temp was hot outside. Don't know if it was an oversight or how they ship plants now. I will most likely only order plants when the temperature is mild moving forward.

I'm a very frequent shopper here on the Aquarium Co-op online store. Their plant selection keeps me coming back every month. Let alone the fertilizer, the fish food, and supplies! I've been supporting them for years now and don't plan on changing that!

This year my American Val I bought 3 years ago from ACO bloomed🥳

My ACO sponge filters are still going strong.

It's wonderful to be able to support a business that is locally owned, takes care of it's employees as well as they take care of their customers, and invests in the community. Cory's Livestreams are a Master Class in how to build a healthier business, practice sustainability, and not abandon your ethics in the pursuit of profit.

As someone who is lower income and disabled, it is very helpful to have the free shipping option as long as I wait to order until my order is large enough to trigger the free shipping.

Shipping time from the KY warehouse has continued to be as ideal as shipping several years ago from WA, and the tracking information is incredibly helpful! Only one issue with any products since 2021, and Candi (customer service) got it fixed ASAP.

Are the prices a little higher than other competitors?

Sometimes.

However, the quality has consistently been infinitely better and worth the slightly higher prices. Discounts for supporting the YouTube channel offset the cost of being a member, even when I only order quarterly.

Keep up the great work!

Everything I've ordered has come in faster than expected, and very well priced. I always look here first when I need something. As long as I have tanks I'll be a costumer.
