How do I get a free sticker?
To show our appreciation for your patronage, we sometimes like to include a free aquarium fish sticker with online orders. Fans often use them to decorate their water bottles, laptop, fish tank stand, notebooks, and more. There is no way to choose which decal you get. However, if you have your heart set on that one special sticker to complete your collection, you can purchase them on our Merchandise page.

Do I need an air pump for my aquarium?
An air pump is a mechanical device that sits outside of the fish tank and uses electricity (either from a wall outlet or battery power) to pump air into the aquarium. The air travels from the air pump to the fish tank decoration or device, creating bubbles that float to the surface and pop. How to install an aquarium air pump
An air pump is responsible for sucking in air from outside of the fish tank and pumping it into a submerged aquarium apparatus. Therefore, you need a few air pump accessories to guide the air flow in the right direction and at the right pressure. How do I clean up the "dirt" at the bottom of my aquarium?
If you see a brown or black, dirt-like substance collecting in your fish tank gravel or sand, most likely it is mulm (also known as detritus or debris). When organic material – like fish poop, leftover fish food, and plant leaves – decompose in the aquarium, it turns into mulm, which is very similar to the compost you use in gardens. Mulm may look dirty, but it's full of nutrients that are extremely beneficial for aquarium plants. Read our full article on mulm to find out how to remove or hide it.

Who do we buy from?
We don't disclose our vendors. This helps us remain competitive. Also for individual stores, proximity to vendors, water parameters etc all play a part in which wholesalers will make sense for you to be purchasing from. Our best advice is to attend shows, and always be seeking other suppliers and constantly track your pricing so that you may improve it over time. No one starts with great pricing, without proving to the supplier the volume they can move. With time more vendors will approach you.
